After being gone for 4 days, James finally came back from his conference in Philadelphia last night. Cadence was asleep when he got home around 8:45, so she was definitely a little confused to see him when she woke up this morning. I had to drive a student to the TOEFL test in Murfreesboro this morning, so they got some one-on-one time at home while I was gone. It's nice to see James so comfortable taking care of her on his own now, and she definitely loves her time with Daddy.
I can't believe she's almost 9 months old though...I feel like this month has gone by faster than usual! In a matter of weeks she will have another new little friend join her in the world when Eden Leong arrives in mid-March.
This week I uncharacteristically did a lot of online shopping, buying some things that we had been talking about getting for a long time, and picking up Cadence's first birthday gift--a pink Radio Flyer tricycle. James has to assemble it, but luckily he has 3.5 months to do it.
We're still waiting on the little lady to make her first official crawl, but I have to admit it's nice not having to worry about her wandering and getting into something she shouldn't, so I guess I'll just enjoy these easy days while I can!
