Yesterday we had our 39 week appointment, and apparently little baby is not quite ready to leave the comfort of the womb, as my cervix is still thick and closed. Dr. Moss doubts that she will make her appearance by my due date, so we've scheduled another appointment for next Tuesday, and if there's still no progress, they will schedule an induction for the following week when Dr. Moss is on call. I know that now no matter when she actually comes it's still only a matter of days, but 11 days seems so much longer than 4! I just hope that she will arrive either before or while my family is here for the Moon Pie Race, which is very much a selfish desire, but it would be convenient!
After our appointment we went to Franklin to return some things to Little Star Kids' Gear, then to Babies R Us to pick up an online order I had waiting there, and finally to Aldi to get supplies for our contribution to the neighborhood potluck--fruit for make-your-own fruit pizzas. They were a big hit, even with my non-dessert loving husband--he made three for himself!
Today I've been trying to clean up here and there around the house, and this afternoon I have a meeting with the new French teacher and a freeting with Kelly, so hopefully I can find enough to keep me occupied and stop thinking about how this baby is NOT coming yet.
